Bend It Like Beckham's Daughter

It’s the parents’ joys to see their children’s milestones. Parents are always the proudest when their kids accomplish something, don’t they? Seeing our kids grow little by little every day, and watching them learn new things is something really rewarding for parents.

Kids nowadays just surprise us with their bright minds, they are so willing to learn and so open to exploring and knowing new things. And of course, when we see them show that talent, we can’t help but be adored! Well, this doesn’t just apply to ordinary parents, but even to superstars like David and Victoria Beckham.

Harper, as we know, the only girl among the four Beckham kids, is the apple of her family’s eyes. And we can easily see that just by checking David Beckham’s Instagram account where he frequently posts about Harper.

On Friday, the football superstar shared a video of his five-year-old reading him a bedtime story (let’s hope David didn’t fall asleep). On the video, Harper impresses us for being able to read clearly at an early age. She’s smart, that’s given, but who can resist that cute little voice from this tiny little girl?

First of all, it’s awesome for a 5-year-old to be able to read like that at a very early age. Second, she’s got the cutest voice! No wonder why proud David would want to showcase his daughter’s brilliance. Now, who won’t have a sound sleep after that story?

Welch's Refreshingly Simple Juice from BzzAgent

Best for My Pets Bully Sticks Review

One thing I have to admit, I sure do love my puppy. She's a Chiweenie- and a bit more hyper than I bargained for, but I love her just the same. That's why I was so excited when we were given the chance to try Best for My Pets Bully Sticks. After all, she LOVES to chew- seriously! 

Well, the bully sticks were no exception. She loved them! She went absolutely nuts when I pulled one out to give her! The only problem with them was that she was able to chew them up fairly quickly. I think the first one lasted her a couple of days- but after that, she chewed them all up- or I think she may have swallowed them whole- within less than one day. So, I'm actually more in the market for something she won't demolish so quickly. I need something that will keep her attention for more than a little while! 

However, if you don't have a dog like mine, the bully sticks are an excellent choice! I would definitely be willing to buy them in the future.

Rayne Hall E-books Review

All of the following books are recommended for teens and adults. In some cases, with parental guidance, older children can read them. They are books that are formatted for Amazon Kindle. I have also left a review of each of them on Amazon.

"Cutlass: Ten Tales of Pirates" is just that- ten short stories about pirates. I have always found pirates, like Captain Hook and those in Pirates of the Caribbean to be fun and interesting. Everyone knows that pirate stories truly are very exciting. They offer us a small taste of the freedom and romance of the pirate life as well as the adventure and daring. We also know that the truth is, the pirate life is a brutal and unglamorous one- but fiction brings us to an exciting world of adventure. In these stories, the pirates fight with the righteous rebels and defeat the villains while finding buried treasures. Some of these stories do have a touch of realism,and others are sprinkled with fantasy- but all have adventure as an underlying course.

"Six Quirky Tales" is a book of short, twisted tales. They are fun and quick reads. While I did enjoy these, I did not really get into them as much as I did the Pirate stories. They are very quirky and very twisted.

"Beltane: Ten Tales of Witchcraft" is a bit of a different spin on the common perception of the witch as an evil, ruthless practitioner of black magic out to hurt everyone in her path. However, consider this: if you were to meet a witch, do you know how to know if they're evil or kind? Or perhaps you hear of someone in your area that is practicing magic- do you know if it's real or not? All of the witches in this book are real. They practice all sorts of different witchcraft. Some of them are kind witches and some are evil- so you should definitely take care not to jump to any conclusions. I am a Christian and I do know that witches are real. However, as a Christian, I try to keep a safe distance from them.

"Six Historical Tales" takes you back into history into Ancient Rome, Greece, Britain, the Middle Ages, and more. These stories will make you think and will stretch your imagination. Some of these stories do stem purely from the authors' imagination while others are just old myths told from a different perspective. As a lover of history, I found these stories quite interesting. Again, they are quick reads. I thoroughly enjoyed reading these great stories!

Santa's (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right) Night Before Christmas!

Just when you thought they had thought of everything, along comes this hilarious NEW children's book! Santa's (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right) Night Before Christmas  is a funny tale of what might happen if Mrs. Claus were to be sick and Santa has to get his own laundry done. His suit ends up purple and the elves end up as trolls. 

The reindeer's fur turns blue and the ends of their antlers are candle flames- they even have different names!! 

I enjoyed reading this book both on my own and then to the little kids in my life. It is sure to bring smiles and laughter around your Christmas tree this year. Get your copy today in hardback or kindle version on Amazon. 

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara and Nicka K Eyelight Crayon

In my opinion, my eyes are my best feature, so I have to admit, I do have a bit of an obsession with eye makeup- eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara. I love to do whatever I can to accentuate them.

I have to admit that for several years, I have been attached to a particular department store brand mascara, so I was a little skeptical when I was given the opportunity to try Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara. I've never had any other mascara do for my eyes quite what the department store brand did. However, I can honestly say that I was wrong! I am so glad I gave Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara- it adds a depth and boldness to my eyes that I never really knew existed.

The Nicka K Eyelight Crayons are great because, well, they're a creamy eye shadow. I'm not the biggest fan of the powdered eye shadows because when I'm putting them on, they seem to "rain" all over my face and honestly- they downplay my eyes. I have used the old "add water/saline solution" trick to my powdered eye shadows, and that helps- but I still prefer a cream based shadow. The Nicka K Eyelight Crayon stays on all day long- even when I'm having a bad allergy day and my eyes are watery!
